Choronzon To Appear On The Soundtrack Of Independent Movie
September 3, 2004 -- September 3, 2004 -- It shall be no surprise to those who've braved the later work of The Avant-Garde Black Metal misfits Choronzon that their cinematic nightmarescapes has been added to the soundtrack of an intense independent film. Damnatus, a film based on Warhammer 40.000, a Sci-Fi strategy game from the creative minds of Games workshop, deals in gorgeous dark imagery and showcases the talents of director Huan Vu.
Set in a nightmare future where the high-tech forces of humanity fight for survival against enigmatic, ancient alien races, Damnatus deals with some themes that have been part of the Choronzon Oeuvre since the beginning. The creations of Choronzon have embodied the visual aspect of P. Emerson Williams' work as his art invokes otherworldly melody and infernal harmony/disharmony. This film is Choronzon's perfect sonic setting.
The creators of Damnatus shall release the movie on DVD. Moreover, they will be participating in several festivals and have an unprecedented plan for distribution through the internet. The trailer, which is already online, has already 25.000 been downloaded more than 25.000 times, with about half of the hits coming from overseas. There's a great deal of buzz surrounding this project as postproduction nears completion, and fans of intense underground film, extreme music and intense experiences owe it to themselves to find it before it finds them.
